There are many Extreme Sports involving extreme actions and extreme capabilities of athletes. I have found that my techniques and how I work with these athletes have been a great help to them in achieving their best results.

My deep tissue massage is exactly what it says and what "Deep Tissue" really means. Deep tissue is not just harder pressure than normal, which is a common misconception among those receiving massage. Deep tissue is penetrating past the exterior, superficial muscles and getting into the deep muscles. I do this by working the exterior muscles first and relaxing them so that I can use my hands, fingers, elbows, or arms to penetrate past those and get into the deep tissues of the next layers of muscles.

Some who attempt deep tissue do not properly prepare the client for this work and go into the muscles without attempting to relax them first and do extensive bruising and damage to the muscle which now will have to heal before you can work it properly.

Some will do deep tissue and after a few minutes will revert back to a regular massage because they lack the stamina or knowledge of how to properly do this procedure.

I take great pride in working with my clients to achieve the maximum results for them. I incorporate a lot of preparation to the skin and muscles and I also talk to my clients so they know what to expect and how to react.

Stretching is a vital part of my massage work. Working a muscle in a resting position is great for relaxation but for active athletes it is not adequate. The muscles need to be stretched and worked as if they were being used so that trigger points and restrictions can be found and dealt with appropriately.

I work with a lot of different athletes involved in many extreme sports and I hope that my experience will be beneficial to you.
